Beginning March 21, we will not be accepting new referrals/guests at the Ronald McDonald House due to concerns regarding COVID-19. This is a temporary measure to ensure the safety of the families already being served by RMHC Northern Nevada, and we will provide updates as the situation changes.
Our Home is Filled with Hope.
For 30 years we have been honored to offer families a place to sleep, eat and relax while their children receive medical treatment at one of the area’s nearby hospitals. Whether they live in a region that doesn’t offer the medical care necessary or they’re dealing with an emergency or accident while on vacation, many families spend several weeks or months far from home during their child’s critical treatment.
Hotel and food costs add up quickly. The Reno Ronald McDonald House acts as a home-away-from-home for families so they can stay close to their hospitalized child at little to no cost. We believe that the love and support of a child’s family is powerful during their hospitalization and work to remove the barriers that keep families from being close.
Services for Families

Private bedrooms –All bedrooms have Tempur-Pedic beds and their own private bathroom.
Playroom for children – Kids can get back to the business of being kids with our foosball table, game and movie collections and Disney characters.
Laundry Facilities — Residents may take advantage of our laundry room 24 hours a day. Generous donors provide all the laundry supplies for the families staying at the House.
Staying Connected — Wi-Fi access is available throughout the Ronald McDonald House. No password is necessary. Guests may also use the family computer located in the recreation room.
Keeping your Family Entertained — We have a recreation room, a library and an outdoor play area with a fun playhouse to help keep your family entertained while you’re at the House.
The generosity of volunteers and donors makes it all possible. In return, families are asked to make a donation of up to $10 per day, but families are never turned away if they cannot donate.
