The Ronald McDonald Family Room Provides Respite
The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a caring environment inside Renown Children’s Hospital where the families of pediatric patients can rest and gather strength while remaining steps from the child’s room. The Ronald McDonald Family Room also acts as a place for parents to consult with their child’s medical team, improving adherence to a child’s continued care when they are released or a parent’s ability to be their child’s advocate. The Family Room also features a sound-proof sleep room for parents when situations are critical and do not allow for a parent to leave the hospital for extended periods of time.
The room is on the fourth floor of Renown Children’s Hospital at the entrance to the Pediatric/PICU units and is open every day from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. The sleep room is open 24 hours a day.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room was made possible through generous donations from the following major founding donors: Gloria Rumberger, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Knights of St. John, Sierra Commandery, Wikoff Design Studio, Dolan Automotive Group, the Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation and the Roxie and Azad Joseph Foundation.
